Posted December 15th, 2008:  We were happy to be on the WREG Channel 3 "Live at Nine"show in Memphis this morning!  Juanita Shaw and her son Brooks cooked up some delicious homemade boiled custard for hosts Marybeth Conley and Alex Coleman.   It was a wonderful morning and we are so appreciative to our friends with Live at Nine for having us on and spreading the word on our Christmas Eve Breakfast. Posted December 10th, 2008:  Yes, Virginia, there really is a $3.99 Christmas Eve Buffet!  We are especially excited to be hosting our 24th annual Christmas Eve Breakfast again this year.  We have lots of festivities and live music in store for you and hope if you are in the area you can join us!  We are especially happy that  our Breakfast was chosen as a Top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society!  http://www.southeasttourism.org/   This is a tremendous honor and we are so very proud.  Each year we have a charity as our special guest and this year are pleased to have the Red Cross join us. Christmas Eve Breakfast Celebrates 24 Years and Top 20 Award!

(Jackson, TN) Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store in Casey Jones Village plans to celebrate the season Southern style at the 24th annual Christmas Eve Breakfast to be held on Wednesday, December 24th.  The legendary festivity was selected a Top 20 Event for the Fall of 2008 by the Southeast Tourism Society and the Jackson Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will be this year's honored charity.

Each year the Old Country Store southern breakfast buffet is served from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an extra special price on Christmas Eve. As a gift to the city, the buffet is only $3.99 for adults including a hot beverage and children 12 and under are only $1.99 and free for children under 2.  The Old Country Store Gift Shoppe will be open until 3 pm. 

Attendance each year is around 2,000 people for what has become an annual Christmas Eve tradition among West Tennessee area families. With live music and various festivities, it makes for a fun family holiday event.

Through a selection process each quarter the Southeast Tourism Society names 20 of the top events across the Southeast for each month and promotes the listing with widespread publicity and the honor of being included in this prestigious list of events and festivals.
