Casey Jones Home Reopens!
Posted July 4th, 2009: Happy 4th! We are proud to announce that the Home of Casey Jones has reopened to the public as of the afternoon of July 3rd, 2009. The Home had been closed for several months as exhibit work was done, exhibits were moved from the Home to the new exhibit hall in the "Train Station" expansion and work was done to put the Home back into place after extensive remodeling was done. We can't wait to show it to you! Hours are 9 am to 8 pm daily. The Home and Train Station are all a part of the tour of the Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum.
There is still work we would love to do to the Home such as replacing the wallpaper in the bedrooms and kitchen, replacing lighting fixtures and more. If you would like to be a part of this on-going effort, tax-deductible contributions can be made online to the Casey Jones Historical Fund which is a community fund through the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation at www.wthfoundation.org
