February 26th, 2010:  We're excited to announce the formation of a model train club at Casey Jones Museum! Several friends of ours from our community have been very involved with the Museum and helped set up the model trains in the new Casey Jones Train Store and the Museum exhibit hall with great plans for projects in the year ahead.

New Casey Jones Museum Model Railroad Club Founded

(Jackson, TN)   A new model train club has been founded in Jackson called the Casey Jones Museum Model Railroad Club.  The group recently met and elected officers and will be meeting at Casey Jones Museum monthly on the third Thursday at 6:30 pm.  The first official meeting will be Thursday, March 18th. Officers are John Stepzinski - President,  George Googe - Vice President,  Corresponding Secretary - Tim Merwin,  Recording Secretary - Randy James and Treasurer - Lawrence Taylor . Membership is open to anyone interested in N, HO, O and G gauge model trains. Dues will be $30.00 annually and will include admission to the Museum, workshops, layouts and operating sessions plus a 10% discount on gifts from the Casey Jones Train Store.
